Marco’s love affair with the sea started when he was 8 years old. Together with a childhood friend he explored the Ligurian coast on a little 10m traditional Ligurian sailing boat. A few years later the two were permitted to borrow a family friend’s custom design and build, 13m wooden ketch called Barabba. Once on board Barabba, the two friends cruised the length and breadth of the Mediterranean Sea. This is when the passion for the sea led Marco to potter around on boats and eventually earn a living through this passion. In 2005, Marco met Cesare Casarola, owner of Nautica Casarola, a name synonymous with Riva. It was here that his brokerage career really took off. Today he has represented buyers and sellers in more than 400 yacht sales. He is our Senior Broker and founding member, fluent in Italian, English and French. He operates from Idea Yachting’s Monaco office.

Sebastiano comes into the world with the great fortune of being born into a family of well-known textile entrepreneurs but also off-shore pilots and above all with very strong passions for Pleasure Yachting, both for sailing and motoring. Therefore, growing up on the largest and most well-known boats at the time - combined with his innate and boundless curiosity - he was lucky enough that the boat and water factors grew with him and in him without even realizing it. After a 4 years sail trip around the world, he decided to stop between Thailand and Malaysia to follow a total refit of a Vessel while joining the construction process of S/Y Wally TIKETITOO in Fano, Italy. Few months later he joined Riva Monaco becoming his commercial director for 10 years. Among all he developed a huge passion for body flying - skydiving - and managed after 21 years to turn it into being now an official Red Bull BASE jump & wingsuit athlet.
Marcello's passion for the nautical industry began at a young age, thanks to his father's introduction to the world of boating. In 1993, Marcello embarked on a charter career in Costa Smeralda with a Striker 43' fisherman. Four years later, in 1997, he transitioned into the sales of second-hand boats. By 2003, he was instrumental in the opening of a 4000 square meter shipyard, where he served as foreman. Marcello's career continued to expand in 2005 when he became an exclusive dealer in Sardinia for prestigious brands such as Baia, Riviera, Bertram, and Chris Craft. In 2007, he played a key role in establishing the Baia Shipyard offices in Miami. His expertise led him to a project management position in 2015 at Savona Shipyard, where he oversaw the construction of hybrid vessels. By 2017, Marcello worked for the Ferretti Group in Porto Rotondo. In 2023, he launched a luxury charter company. Currently, Marcello represents Idea Yachting in the highly demanding Sardinia market, bringing his extensive experience and passion for the nautical industry to the forefront.
